Shrinking a helmet ?

Is it possible to reduce the size of a helmet?
I have a fiberglass helmet that i would like a smaller version of.
I know it would have to be remolded to do it. But i wasn't sure if it was at all possible.
I was thinking maybe a latex mold backed with a fiberglass jacket. I'm hoping the latex would shrink somewhat to a more desired size. Or does smoothon make a shrinking mold material? I don't need to shrink it a whole lot but enough to fit my hieght/size. I really like the helmet but its to big for a 5'8 person.
any ideas??

I don't know if Smooth-On has anything like that. But give them a call and tell them what you want to do. They've always been good at answering questions about their products and offering ideas and assistance.

The Compleat Sculptor has a shrinking urethane called HydroShrink, you can get more info about it here, http://www.sculpt.com/technotes/Tech_Sheet...HydroShrink.pdf. Not sure if it is what you were looking for but I think it might be worth checking out.

Sure. Wash it in really hot water then dry it in a really hot dryer.
