I've not a big fan of the Mark VI tricorders, but that one is dang perdy. Congrats! And awesome photography, as always.

I too am not a Star Trek fan but the craftmanship on that Tricorder looks top notch, is it fan built?

Those are some "grail" props right there! All of them are nice pieces! The MR blaster leaves something to be desired, but is very collectible esp since the news of MR losing SW.

Great aquisitions! :cool

Yeah, that's a Stapleton Productions Tric. He scratch-builds the masters and then makes these out of fiberglass and/or resin. I did the graphics for these tricorders.

Dood, I need you to come to my house and photograh MY crap! Those pics are amazing! :eek

Thanks everyone. I love taking pics of my props, almost as much as I like to play with them. :)

And yes, the tricorder is TOP NOTCH. One of the nicest pieces I own!!

I think I asked this before but how many lights do you use and where do you put them? I recently got a couple 5000K fluorescent bulbs and my images are improved but I'm still getting some harsh shadows. I'm trying to change the location of the lights to reduce the shadows but I think I'll just get another light to act as a fill.

(Over corrected to try to eliminate the shadows and ended up washing out the items)

VERY nice pics SurferGeek!!! I love those!

I set up in my shop and just use the florescent bulbs above. There are 4 8' lights in there, so a total of 8. Then I just adjust my camera to no flash, 1.5 white setting, and #3 for florescent bulbs.

Any chance of seeing a pic of your entire tricorder collection? I have a feeling it'll give me something to aspire to... :p :thumbsup
