So I finished this awhile ago and thought i'd show off some pics. First of all, let me say that I love doing ricks kits, they are so much fun, and i'm especialy pleased with this one! It took about 5 days or so, there's hardly no clean up on his kits, its amazing. And i also discovered a wonderful thing called rub n' buff!!! its the greatest thing since sliced bread, I love the way it finished off this piece, hope you all enjoy!!! Thanks

Nice job!
I got one of Rick's snubs a while back and I have it displayed as a companion piece with my Coyle v.4x blaster.
It's a pretty lil thing ain't it?

Yup, Rick's work is amazing!! I'm building my second snubby right now. :)

Very nice build silverskyes. You accomplished a very mettalic finish on the silver parts, nicely done!!!

Love seeing these!

^ Plus, the gun is basically 95% receiver and 5% barrel, so it wouldn't be worth firing even if made from actual gun parts.

Ohh, haha, good point. I just think it's the coolest looking gun. I'm still surprised noone has tried to make a real one somewhere.

Not following you there. How so? Are you saying making one of these from a snub nosed charter arms revolver wouldn't be worth it?

Snub nosed revolvers and pocket/sub compact semi auto's are more popular than ever, incidentally.

Can't get enough of Rick's kits. Love it.

As far as firing Guns, other than one off's made by a small few, the closest thing is the Hartford PFC guns. Elfin Knights also made a kit to convert over a Charter Arms Bulldog 38 PFC back in the 90's, and both the kit and original PFC gun are very rare.

Look at the photos. The "barrel" in the actual prop and reproductions is less than half an inch long. The majority of the gun is the receiver; the propmakers sawed off most of the barrel when making the Deckard blaster. If it were a real firearm, it wouldn't be practical.

I have a real Charter Arms Bulldog snub barrel and it is about 1" long. This version has a longer barrel. The one on the actual prop is over 4" long. I am with Noeland in not understanding what you are talking about.

Edit...oh I get it, you are only seeing the end of the barrel coming out the front. The barrel continues well into the front of the gun. It is partially covered by the Steyr clip housing.

That explains it! Thanks.:thumbsup
