SHOW OFF THREAD STAR TREK TOS SPOCK SCANNER

Here are some new pics of the latest alterations. A new paint job and I've also added the silver studs on the side.

I think we are almost there.

I can't take the suspense anymore :(

Did you produce the prop yourself? Is it metal, resin, wood, or some combination? Are you considering offering these for sale?

Do tell :rolleyes

It's a found item... an actual, real world electronic device from the 1960s. The only thing different was the change in color of the handle. A bit of orange paint and tada.

Still a sweet piece. :love

Is that chicken wire on the suit.? CLASSIC.

:lol

No the suit is made of some kind of shower-curtain material, which has a metallic pattern printed on it.

It must have been stifling in there. :unsure

SurferGeek,
You are correct. It is a found item. But good luck finding one. Tiberius Kirk told me it took him over 2 years of hard searching to find this one. Considering this item is from the 50s, I would guess that 95% of the ones made are no longer around. I'm hoping he pulls a mold and produces kits. There were no electronics or blinky lights added to it in Star Trek, so as a solid, static prop it will be just fine.

Greetings fellow prop Collectors. I know some of you have waited for this announcement on needles and pins. Well your wait is almost over.

It has been my honor to have access to one of the top prop makers anywhere. He is also a great fabricator and engineer. His props are legendary.

He has taken a look at the Analyzer Prop and made it his primary focus over the past few weeks.

The results of his work is no less than perfection...

He has engineered this prop into something that easily measures up to the quality of Master Replicas and in my humble opinion it has surpassed that level of excellence. In fact, I would call it a MASTERPIECE...

Below you will see a pic of the first body to come out of the mold as well as the
front end of the apparatus which will be individually machined out of Nylon, plus knobs (no longer manufactured) that have been molded and cast in the correct color. (no need for paint here) Also in the pic are the gauge covers that have been vacu-formed in clear just like the original. The gauge will be replicated to look exactly the original. Something that was necessary since the gauges are no longer manufactured. The top knobs will individually turn and click into pace just like the original since we are using real on/off switched that can attach to any electronics that you may wish to incorporate. The gauge face is expertly recreated as well as the top label (under the back switch/knob) that is screen printed onto aluminum metal stock.

The kit will include everything necessary to make an EXACT replica prop that will be virtually indistinguishable from the original.

HereÂ’s a rundown of the 39 kit parts so farÂ…

Main Parts:

Main Body and Handle 1
Front Emitter Tube 1
Emitter Tube End Cap 1
Top Knobs 2
Gauge 4

Hardware:

Screws and Washers for Bottom 8
Front End Ball Chain Holder & Screw 2
Meter Screws 5
Top Selector Switch/Dials 2
Top Selector Switch/Dials Set Screws 4
Side Hole Covers 2
Front End Tube Nut and Washer 2
Front Metal Clamp 1
Front Metal Clamp Screws & Nuts 4
__
Total Parts 39

One of the best features of this prop is that assembly should be a snap. There is no glue used anywhere on the kit. Just like the original Analyzer, everything will attach by bolt, screw, or will just snap into place. The only thing besides assembly is just a little paint.

We are going to produce a small run of these and will be on a first come first serve basis.

You may email me at trekclassic at hotmail dot com to get your name on the list. Please do not PM me.

Right now, I can only guarantee the first 7 people a crack at this prop.
