SHD Isac Pack Computer - Tom Clancy's The Division 3D Print [WIP]

I started this a couple of years ago, got put on the back burner, and then decided to pick it back up.
The reference material's been pretty difficult to source, so I'm making a hybrid from the available artwork.

Here's the current model. It still needs a few parts for mounting on the pack strap & provisions for a light kit.
Once the model is complete, I'll start partitioning it for 3D printing.

Cheers!

The test print looks pretty good.
Got some serious warping on the antenna loop - I'll have to reorient the part for the next print.

I finally sourced an LED ring that'll fit! The next thing to do, is figure out the micro controller.
...Then a ton of remodeling/printing to fit/integrate everything.

Finally got around to casting the ring in clear resin. The first light test looks decent, not much light bleeding out.

A little while later, I got the LED ring working to some extent. Time to figure out how it all fits inside.

The ring can change colors now, and also has the new game mode color.

The functions are a bit unreliable when it's all closed up - it's a tight fit, some alterations to the model are necessary.

This model looks AMAZING were you planning on releasing it? My gf wanted to dress up as her Division Agent for a con so I’m trying to source the parts.

Thanks! It might be a while before it's ready, I'm sill trying to get the lighting components to fit properly.

I took it out for a field test in a recent convention. It currently has roughly 5 hours of run time on a 9V battery.
It turns "rogue"(red) when the battery is low - I suppose it's not enough power to sustain the green LEDs.

I’ve been tinkering with a similar project. I got the interior mostly done, it was just the actual case I couldn’t get happy with. I used an Adafruit Trinket M0 for the controller, a Neopixel 12 LED ring, and a lipo battery hooked to a JST connector

That's great! I wish I'd known about the Trinket earlier, it would definitely fit this test model much better.
The 12bit ring has a better transition/fill, but it's wider than the model's housing, so i went with 8bits instead.
