Thank you everyone for the interest. While I am waiting for the photo-etched grilles to arrive I wanted to share the photos of the final design of the fan and exhaust port.

Any prep work required? Or do we just prime and paint them?
Yes, thank you! You can prime right away, however the set will be shipped with supports attached to the backs of the fans and vents, to protect the parts during shipping. You will have to cut them off (very easy with Exacto knife) and possibly lightly sand off the remains of the supports. I will post some pictures soon to show.

While the final product is just stunningly beautiful (and reasonably priced) , the 45$ postage to Europe is killing it for me. That's 41% of the total price (and customs might even increase that further)

I don't think I'll be able to justify that. (Though I'm struggling with myself here)
