Sentinel - "Mutant Entity Detected!"

I am rushing to complete my Sentinel for this years Dragon Con. The electronics, some details and weathering are not yet completed, so be kind with the comments.

I would love to meet up with people if you are going to Dragon Con and will also be attending the Marvel Photoshoot

Love the work man. I would of loved to do all the armor and stuff but Im flying out and have limited luggage space. But man is this looking awesome!

That is why I love you guys, I never would have thought of that. What is a lightweight hose I can get?
There is some foam insulation for pipes which I could do.

Nice paint job. IM Nation does great foam work. Are you adding LED to the eyes?

I have both constant and blinking red LED dots, which should also allow me to see fairly well.

The sound board and speaker were just finished, I got some MP3 from the Capcom game and mixed them together to form sentences, then added lasers and explosions

well you can get some transparant sillicone hose at most DIY stores, they are usually available in all thicknesses and lengths. they are light enough and you could whip em at some pesky mutants

cram some LED's of preffered color in there, sand the outside of the hose down so the light can refract off it (and hide some of the wiring), hook it up to a 9v battery
and you get something like this (quick mock up i made, only had a blue led laying around)

Hazmat - Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the arms do have a great organic look to them - lots of crazy glue and glue sticks.

I have completed the chest beam. Used a coaster resin mold and single drop of red dye, 2 LED from superbrightled.com. The white controller wire does a great job allowing me to adjust the brightness, speed and blinking mode. The chest piece has already been shipped for Dragon Con, so I will be one of the many people putting the final touches on the costume in their hotel room.

Dragon Con was great, it was fantastic to meet the members and always nice to hear "I saw you on the RPF".
