Screen used props?

Yea this gets done about every six months. There is a biger thread, about 7 or 8 pages here somewhere. My quick search did not turn it up though.

Either way, here is mine;

(The car, not the bucket.)

I love seeing everyone's props. Are you aware of yourprops.com? It is a great place to display your props. The site has a great search feature where you can look up props from certain movies/TV shows and by owners. I love it because these threads can be lost on the board were yourprops.com is a constant place to view.

I've got the screen used JudgeHunter costume from Judge Dredd.
The only thing missing from the photos are the Hunter Gun.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I have some POTC coins as well. In addition to those, I have a piece of Krayyt Dragon bone from Star Wars, and a screen used fingerprint scanner from Hulk.

EDIT: Oh, and a Wonka bar. Pics to come tomorrow...

Sabrina, with Harrison Ford.  There were two used.  A driver car and a closeup car.  Mine was the driver.

So as it's a prop car does that mean it only has a Ford 1.6l engine? I know that the Magnum PI car was only a Ferrari shell.

I know that the Magnum PI car was only a Ferrari shell.

I believe you're wrong, Magnum PI Ferrari (308 GTS) cars were real Ferraris.
(Only the stunt cars were shells)

It's the Miami Vice Ferrari that was only a shell.

Well here's a partial list of stuff I've had and stilll have. Well I can't miss a showoff thread...

No it is a real one used as a prop. There were two cars used in the film as is common with expensive cars. One was driven on the road for driving only shots, the other was hauled on a flat bed with the actors in it for close-ups and speaking shots. The reason is simple, when the movie was made the cars were brand new and the production did not want to pay to put ungodly miles on a Ferrari. So the got a new one from the lot, Ferrari on NY, and rented the owners personal car for he driving shots. My car was the one you actually see being driven and also parked on the ground. (Though, to be honest, I did not know this when I bought it.)

The Magnium PI cars were real as at the time Ferrari was toying around with boosting its US image. As I recall, they wrecked two in the series. One was a shell and the other was not. the shell car you saw going over a cliff or something. The real one actually got wrecked while being driven and they used its beat up body for a shot or two. We never saw it actually being wrecked.

The Miami Vice Daytona was indeed a shell. If you look at eh exhaust and some other things you can easily see it was built on a Corvette frame. In the commentary on the show, Michael Mann said they did not think that Ferrari would ever just give them a car so they did not even bother to ask. They found the mock up and just waited to be sued. When the show became a run away hit, Ferrari North America called and offered them a TR. This was when they got the idea for blowing up the Daytona.

....real Daytona convertibles are very rare and were going for about $2 mil at that time....hard enough to find a couple...let alone thrash them for filming....

DR S...is that a 348 TB?

Actually from what I heard Ferrarri was pissed that the Guy in Georgia ,who made the Car used on the Show, was getting A LOT of orders for the Daytona.

So they gave the Production the new Testorossa. :lol

Yes they were.... (Though I thought is was made in Fl.)

Kev, it is a 348 Spider.

Here's mine. Very small and obscure, but I like it considering my background.

KingNothing, that is really impressive. How did you obtain all of those props? They must have cost you a pretty penny...

KingNothing, my sentiments exactly, nice collection. Looks like an Army-Navy surplus store in your house. :p

Rogue, one of my favorite armor suits from any movie, barring the Imperial Stormtrooper of course. Gotta love those Judge hunters. Great prop.....

This is the only screen-used prop I own; a calculator-style handlink from Quantum Leap.

Actually Ferrari gave Miami Vice 2 TestarossaÂ’s to get rid of the Replica Spider then the man (Carl Roberts of Roberts Motor Cars in Kings Port TN) that actually maintained the 2 Spiders went to the producers and talked them into a stunt TR for the action scenes and camera burro so they would not damage the real ones.

The stunt car was built on a 72 Detomaso Pantera using Testarossa parts that Carl molded from Dave Thomas (of WendyÂ’s) Testarossa after he wrapped it around a telephone poll.

Well, my screen used collection is laughable in comparison to most, but what I have I like though.

This I've had for a while, it's supposed to be screen used, I don't know though I've never seen the movie, but I bought it for only $40 AU (about $5.50 US....lol)
