Scratchbuilt Railgun from Concept Art

I've been working on a weapon for my Halo suit, but I wanted something original so I went for this design by ProlificPen over on DeviantArt

Here's what I came up with:

Great Work, fantastic end result!!

The original concept art shows a clear District 9 influence, however with your colour scheme the railgun takes on a whole new form, it looks completely different, which i really like, it's amazing just how a differing colour scheme can really give an item a whole new spin.

Again great work, would really like to hear about the build process.
