Thanks for the compliment Arkive Dave.

I've made the mold for the foot and i retooled the the drive engine and remade the mold for that. I poured some parts over the holidays, now I'm just sanding and piecing the AT-STs together.

Here's some updated pics of one so far.....

If I would guess by the size and the 1/72 Stormtroopers, then yes, I would say that the AT-STs will be in that scale

Here's some additional pics, I have this one glued to the pose that I think would look very true to the motions of an AT-ST. The head isn't glued down yet, just fixed in place with some "post-it" putty. I still have to sand it and add the additional parts like the springs, guards, small details, etc.

I really like this pose, it's actually standing on its own without the aide of any post-it putty under the feet. The heads are made out of styrene and are lighter than the legs and drive engine, so it's nice that it isn't "top heavy".

I placed two 1/72 Stormtroopers near it to demonstrate scale.....

Sweet. I wasn't rightly sure, but thanks for clarifying.

That's just so cool. Seeing as Finemolds don't seem to wanna make 72nd scale Star Wars kits anymore, this is really awesome to watch.

Are you gonna add the two claw like protrusions at the tip of the feet soon, too?

All the details will be added, they weren't part of the cast because I thought scratching them later and adding the parts to the resin pieces would be a better way to go.

Just want to chime in with another WOW! These would be fantastic at this detail level in a larger scale. But for them to be this size!!! Did I say wow? Great job so far.

Well, I've finished glueing the final cast pieces for the second and third AT-STs.

- The first walker I have it posed in a defensive position and rearing back.

- The second has a slight crouch to it, I'll have this one behind and slightly below a tree branch.

- The third has more of an upright standing position.

Thanks for the kind words Too Much Garlic, unfortunately, I only made three "heads". I may take some of the extra casts of the legs feet and drive engine and build a destroyed AT-ST, the same one the Chewbacca shoots in ROTJ

Oh yeah there are all kinds of talented people here but there is something about scratchbuilding which I'm hooked on myself you take some sheets of styrene and turn it into something plenty of people can glue a kit together but not many can do what a scratchbuilder can do make something out of nothing your to humble Scratchy, Scratch on Brother!

Blakeh1, I don't have the plans anymore. I started building these scout walkers years ago and the plans found there way to the trash. However, there is a huge selection of reference on the net and there are no curves or any need of vaccum forming for a subject this small, it should be an easy build.

I think the only real stumbling block was the feet. I approached them like a form for a vacuum forming buck. I glued a number of contoured styrene ribs to a flat piece, that was cut to the shape of the bottom of the foot, then filled with putty, and sanded,... then I applied the details.
