Scratch Built Droid Command Ship?

Hi everyone

So I am toying around with a few options for my next scratch build and one of things I am thinking of is a trade federation droid command ship from Episode I. I have never seen a build in large or small scale on this and it isnt easy finding pictures. Any advise on wear to look or past experiences with a similar project would be greatly appreciated. Even if its notmy next project it is on my list to do eventually so I would like to gather reference info. Thanks for the help guys!

Always liked the look of those. Unlike most from the PT they actually looked like they belonged in Star Wars.

I totally agree Orang_Blend that and the Radiant from the opening scene are a couple of the few that stuck true to the original Trilogy look. I think its because they actually used models for them rather than animation. The bonus features on the Star Wars BlueRay set have a 360 degree shot of the command ship I will probably use for reference and can probably eye ball it once I have my basic size. I will def have to post some WIP pics for that one.

The Radiant was my favorite from the prequels. It's one of the few ships that can hold its own against the original. I'm not sure whether its bias or I'm just older now... but to me, there wasn't a single bad design from the original trilogy. Everything seemed to fit perfectly...

As far as the droid command ship... I think you need to just jump in and do it! Start with an MDF base and then move forward from there. No go forth and do great things!
