Scott Pilgrim Shirts and Costume Thread

The others don't look good. The logos are all way too big. Also, I can't tell if any of those photos are actually real, or just photoshopped.

Hey guys, I found quite an interesting thing on good ol' eBay.
I found this rather weird parka and it looked VERY similar to the comic book SP Parka which I thought I was a definite must. Only cost me £10. :)
So anyway after a bit tinkering and a bit of sewing, I've got the comic book style one near enough. Slight few things that are different obviously but I guess to the die-hard fans out there, this would be rather acceptable for them. It also faded so it looks aged. Maybe it is aged. I know fine well this isn't the snorkel parkas that everyone is familiar with because I have 3 of them in my wardrobe. This is just something that's different. It's a bit of a mix-up of the comic and screen version of them. :)

Here's the comic book version -

Here is mine. It's weird because it's made out of canvas on the outside just like how the movie one looks like a bit. But the orange lining inside is nylon so it's still warm to wear. Not forgetting the custom patch I got sometime last year. -

What do you think?? Overall, it's about 30% customised. :rolleyes

That is NICE.

Thanks to Kyo, I've finally got the complete movie costume, he hooked me up with a Snorkel parka AND an X-men patch. Sometime after the holidays I'll post a picture. Thanks again, Kyo!

Thanks man :)
I wear it sometimes because I feel that people won't really think I'm being a SP fanboy. Haha.
But yeah, the parka you got, is it like the traditional puffy nylon ones? Or is it like more canvas-sy looking and thin??? :)

Hey, so I think I saw something about this hat awhile back, but does anyone know anything about it? Like, where I could get it or any kind of replica? I heard it was made for the movie.

These are the best alternatives I've been able to find, but both don't really come close, and I can't decide on one.

Amazon.com: Outdoor Research Yukon Cap: Clothing

Amazon.com: Ignite Mix Master Earflap Trapper Hat: Clothing

(Obviously with the flaps let down on both)

I've gotta say, if there are any thrift shops in your area, hit them up. I have one of the hats used in the film, and the only ones I'v found that have come close, are ones I have found in thrift shops.

Nope. There's no chance of it until at least May, either. Trust me, when I find one and get all that business with my screens taken care of, you'll all be the first to know.

OK, so here we are in May, and I might be very close to locking down a good deal for the shirts. So now for the first stage of the process:

If I do another run of shirts, which ones should I make? I can do any of the ones I've made before, or I can do a new one that hasn't been made yet. The only limitation to that is that I WILL NOT make the Astroboy shirt due to expense. In order to get any of the ones I've made before, we need 24 shirts, no exceptions. Same applies to new shirts, but I'll have to factor in new screen costs as this new place, while more up-and-up, is a bit pricier for the startup. So let me know what you all want and I'll see if we can make it happen.

Do you want to give the second TCAD shirt a try? I still have the finished front and backs for it.

I can't remember what it looks like, can you post them up here?

Honestly I'm not thrilled with the idea of making new shirts, but if there's enough interest I'll do it. With that one though, the first shirt was beautiful and it's probably my favorite t-shirt, but the interest was so low I ended up stuck with 3 of them for a year. And that was from a half run of 12. I don't think we'd get the interest for the second one.

Right, I forgot about how hard of a sell that was. If you don't want to do it, there's absolutely no pressure.

Anyways, it's this shirt
