That's right, I'm bragging.

After years of impatiently waiting for a good deal, I just happened across this Coyle PKD on the Bay, with a BIN price of $280, that had been posted only a couple of hours earlier. I jumped on it.

I PMd Rich and he confirmed it's one of his. Oh happy day. Now I need to stalk my UPS guy until it arrives.

congrats...is this one of the older models or the newer one that he made after handeling the real one? Either way..LOOS awesome..and great price. :thumbsup

Thanks! I'm not real knowledgeable about the different versions which is why I've been so hesitant to plop down the $1000 these usually go for. I had been considering getting an Offworld PKD; sure glad I didn't!

if it has all metal parts, that's a steal.

my guess is it may be one of his mostly resin versions.

either way, nice piece.

How the hell did I miss that auction?! :eek
Excellent score, bro! I'm jealous.

The rear trigger works, the front is nonfunctional.
There are two pinholes on the left side of the magazine that access the on-off switch. I've hidden a paperclip on the gun so I can turn the lights on.
The cylinder is reluctant to swing out; I'm reluctant to force it. Closed is fine.
The bolt operates very smoothly.

Any questions?

Very nice! I agree, -any- Coyle BR under $300 is a good deal. I wouldn't even let mine go for that price, until someone made me a trade offer that I couldn't refuse. :lol :thumbsup

The grips on this thing fit my hand better than any firearm ever has. I'm considering getting a Charter Arms Bulldog just so I can put a set of these grips on it. :D

Yep, a version 4 or as stated 4.5. The cylinder won't swing open without taking off the whole front Steyr magazine assembly. Check Rich's website to get the instructions on how to do it. The v4 and 4.5 were developed during this classic thread on the RPF...

I saw the whole v4 series go through multiple changes, and can't remember for sure where the actual break would be to call this a 4.5, but much of it was paint scheme. The major changes though, were the pinkie notch on the butt plate, and the 5th LED at the bottom of the Steyr magazine. Also Green LED's were added one at a time to the site rod on the left side of the gun.

Good acquisition for sure.
