Hello! I'm super brand new to the forum, and this place looks awesome! You all seem very very knowledgeable! I had a question regarding spray paint.
I'm making a cosplay of Frank from Dead Rising, and including the iconic Servbot mask cosmetic/weapon. I've done EVA foam heads many times before, but this was my first time using Montana Gold. Only reason I splurged on it was because I had a mega coupon at the art store I go to, so I figured I'd treat myself.
When I was using it I noticed that coverage of my two yellow cans were super weak, unlike my cyan can I had used only a day prior (on plastic for a prop.) I sprayed down my base layer, but noticed that it was very splotchy no matter how hard I tried to get it even. Then I went at it with another can to shade it, and it looks even worse now. The whole head is covered in small splotches of darker, more concentrated paint and also super sandy/grindy in texture.. it looks AWFUL and it's a real shame because I was really proud of it, and even if I wanted to, I don't have the time to make another head. I was wondering how best I would go about fixing the texture? I heat sealed everything properly and also primed in Plastidip prior.. it's all just a real shame! Any help is appreciated.
