Here's the bespin flash hider. Special thanks for bobadebt for rushing this to me for a special project

Looks awesome!

That second photo concerns me though. The muzzle looks much longer than the photo, and the end and notch on the left looks too wide to my eye..as does the angle of the curve attached to the muzzle. The entire thing looks too long by a 1/2 or more.

I hear you, but I think it's the angle + the weathering in the original photo that plays a trick on the eyes.

I'm a photographer by trade, and i can only explain it one way: lens

The iPhone 6 lens just aint gonna show us an accurate focal length shot with no distortion or perspective shift. I'd need to shoot it near the same lens setup they shot the original picture to match it photographically. To my eye though... sitting in front of it... with calipers matching the monitor pic at 1:1... it's near a dead on match. The ONLY measurement off, seems to be that the flash hider was modeled more after Han's and has a slightly thicker rear lip. like .5-1mm difference. Otherwise, the same.

50mm is the best I can do by myself on the DSLR... it's very hard to match the perspective. I think they used an 80mm or something longer that compresses the fore and back a little more.

it's pretty hard to hand hold that at arm's length and take a photo. Both the camera and the gun are pretty dang heavy after a few minutes of trying.

In any case, I think the flash hider is in the 95-99% perfect range for a Luke. I haven't compared to Han's bespin yet.

Also, my FH weathering isn't 100% done. It's different in every single pic.

Looks great! Thanks for holding that thing out at arm's length for us!

Scott, will you weather my Flash Hiders :)

That is a thing of beauty, please post videos once toy test fire it.

Thanks!

I have a short video I can try to upload tomorrow.

It'll be on TV hopefully soon

Thanks! I'm on a television shoot with another RPF member who's a cast member on a show and we're building his live fire Han ANH for the show. No esb action yet, but maybe in the next day or so. The Anh hero is the focal point, so not sure if we'll work the esb in for the show. I hope so, but either way we'll be getting some super high speed footage of them. Should be pretty awesome.

Well this sounds right up all of our alleys! Very cool! When/where can I watch this?

It'll be on the outdoor channel, and I'm told the episode will air in April. The show is called Shooting Lane
