Limited Run RUN CLOSED * DL-44 ESB Blaster Machined Parts Set * RUN CLOSED

I'm ok with new drawing.

As for Hoth (new window for huge):

After going through all the all the reference photos once again, for like the 500th time, the 50/50 looks wrong to me so my vote is with the drawing.

I think the new drawing of the knob looks better than the samples, so I'm all for going with that one!

My opinion is probably not worth much because whenever I look at the photo of Luke holding the blaster, I've always seen two separate parts.

To me, it looks like the top "nut" fits on top of a smaller diameter washer. To me there is no split between knurled and straight sides. To me it looks like a rounded nut with knurling from top to bottom.

Something like this:

It has always seemed to me that when building a prop, you would choose to use what was available before machining a custom nut. Since these exist already (Rounded Thumb nut), it seems like they would have just grabbed one of these from the hardware drawer.

Try as I might, I just can't convince myself that I am seeing a single nut, with straight sides and angled top. So, I've pretty much kept out of the conversation because others don't seem to see what I'm seeing.

I didn't want to say anything with this project so far along, but after looking at all the reference photos tonight and messing with some settings, there are time that to me it looks like the part of the knob right under the knurling is recessed.

OP- Luke R2 Empire.jpg

Sorry to get off track on the knob subject, but I have been looking at it on my wall and decided to scan it tonight. It's from my OP 11x14 photo. My apologies if it has been posted previously. From looking closely as possible at this photo I see one of this distributor pieces, but I do not see anything covering the Mauser logo. That doesn't mean something didn't fall off though.

I know it was brought up already, and again has nothing to do with the current topic, but I wanted to throw out a few photos that I took of My MR Han blaster before I sold it. Shown are some of the incorrect details.

The new drawing look right. I vote for that. I think i have seen a screencaps from esb where it looks like the "Motor coil fell off and hanging down...can't find it...

I saw that and to be honest I thought that was an incomplete attempt at a flash hider.

I don't know what his general dimensions are but they do not look to far off from mine.

I also do not understand why there is a large concave transition from the body to the cone.

This picture also doesn't show if the front and back are counter bored or if it has the barrel through design that I came up with

As far as I know, it has not been done by anyone else.

I´m sorry, but after the ANH parts debacle i´m no longer interessed in posting any what or why, to improve other peoples sales.

Once i thought it´s about sharing, but i learned that most people hold back their "super secret infos", and are majorly interested in getting sales numbers. Or maybe to feel more special......

I would see it different if every outcome/measurements from such a group effect would be completely displayed to the community that helped to get them - but i don´t see that happen. It´s usually more "let us all work on it - and then i start a run" thing.
