I had My outside dog come in through a window and knock my Rubies vader mannequin over and cover it with mud. Can this be machine washed. ANy suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you clarify what this is - a life-size Rubies Vader mannequin, or a mannequin on which one of the supreme Rubies costumes is displayed?

All manufactured clothing and costumes are required to have tags about washing on them. So if it's a Rubies costume, it should have care instructions on it. I'm pretty sure the Rubies supreme soft parts were all machine washable.

If it's a prop - which a pre-fab mannequin would be - there's no care tag requirement. If that's what you're talking about here, I would seriously recommend surface cleaning only.

My 2 cents.

It's pleather, you can just throw it in the wash... I'd probably hang it up to dry though, even though the tag says you can dry it in the dryer. The capes can be washed too. I've also never dried them other than hanging them up.

Actually if it's one of those limited edition statues, the pleather may have been glued to the mannequin and may therefore be non-removable.

In such a case, pleather is plastic. Just soap and water would do the trick. Be careful of debris in the mud that might scratch the pleather if you're wiping. Just make sure you're not trying to be abbrasive to the pleather.

Then keep the dog outside. :lol

If it's the rubies vader costume, you can machine wash the pleather suit, inside out, and you have to let it air dry. Use cold water of course
