Rubies Supreme Boba Fett

ok guys...
so... who has a SA fett that i can buy all wrapped up in a nice box, ready for me to wear for $800? what? no one? oh, i have to get it all together myself you say? oh...
well what f i couldnt do that? thats right.... theres the rubies.

Screen accurate probably not but you cant class anything by Rubies as screen accurate.
You may aswell say well i really want a Ferrari but i dont have the money so i'll go posing in a Fiat with a Ferrari badge on instead, nobody will notice.
You could probably put together a good Fett for a lot less than buying this garbage and replacing or remodelling 90% of it.

:lol it probably will look like that.

I think its right on par with their Vader. If you want to go the quick/easy route,a nd are failry handy with some moderate modifications, it can be spruced up.

So... a quick review of the past:

Let's hope that Rubie's will set a new standard! :thumbsup

Just to be fair,

... Rubies could potentially use its $80 Jango Fett mask as a platform for the Boba. It's size and shape would possibly be comparable to the old Don Post Deluxe Boba Fett, if not slightly smaller.

this is annoying because for the money any one of us could have done better, and they intentionally make a poor quality product, if you have a factory and the reference material theres no reason to make this kind of junk

I'd say the obviouse lack of accuracy in any of rubies products would be due to the constraints put on them by LFL. None of the MRs items were comparable to an original either, and they were the upper class when it came to costume/props.

Basicly they don't want to risk people selling these things as original... or the same as one.

There might be some truth to that... but at least MR has ALOT better accuracy than this... the only trouble with the MR Fett helmet was the pinch, and it did not have adequate detail...

You think if I tell them I have the inflatable jetpack that they may drop the price $100-200? :lol

Seriously, I bought that at the end of the Fall, and wore it around a con for an hour. Later switched to my actual Jetpack and wore that around. :lol I wanted to actually try using it as a floatation device for some laughs, but the weather sucked and couldn't try it.

I am still in chock :eek Didnt see this before.. :sick

What a waste of money... I feel sorry for those getting this costume..

What's next??

amen...its all very well people slagging this off, but to put a fett together takes a hell of a lot of research, knowing what forums to look on, and buying from a lot of different sources, and even then you are hoping they might be producing a run at that time.

the rubies for joe schmo gets them a fett to use as a base, even if they do intend altering it later.

Did you guys read this? "This inflatable Boba Fett backpack adds authenticity to your costume."

Eat your heart out jetpack makers. People can get the same exact item for fifteen bucks and it's already finished. It also has a secret compartment for carrying your bologna sandwiches to school!

You have to admit the Supreme looks better than the "Deluxe". I do like the footies on this version, though . . .

(Seriously, though, the gauntlets look somehow bigger on this version).

" I do like the footies on this version, though . . ."

I bet those footies make it real comfy to sleep in! :lol
