Rubies Supreme Boba Fett

The paint job has improved that helmet so much! As this is WIP im assuming he is going to finish the details like the rangefinder and crappy see through visor.

I think very few private buyers will get these. They'll mostly be sold to costume rental stores.

You know, I hadn't even thought about that, but it makes perfect sense. They would be the logical market because for them, a $500 investment will pay off with, like, five rentals.

To me it looks like its "salvageable". But not worth spending 8-9 hundred to use as a starting point to start salvaging. The repaint of the hemlet is a perfect example... is it perfect - no, is it passable - surely. I wouldn't be "emabarassed" by that helmet, while acknowledging there are better Fett costumes out there. If I could score one cheap somewhere (ebay perhaps when the buyers realize they bought a dud at $800) I might think about taking a shot at pricing it up with a few of the cheaper upgrades - ammo belt flak vest, and some spray paint and time... could be passable... "could" be...

Jedi Dade, I agree. Years ago I bought the Rubies Darth Vader and it's great. I know 4 people that bought this one for $800 and they all said it was crap. I really wanted one to have as a display. The best I saw on Ebay was $599 $40 for shipping. My friend stated everything was truly cheap plastic that was thin and done in a poor manner.

....and was it? I'm thinking of buying one.

Cheers

It never got to see it as my friends were out of state. I did talk to a Ebay buyer that bought one for the $599 price. They stated it was worthless for the price. Bummer. But he did say if you had talent you could do a re paint but when you get up close you can really see how cheap the plastic is.

I saw some poor guy buy both the Rubies Boba and stormtrooper costumes at Celebration 5. It was very sad to see him trying them on in the hallway. :(

So much money that could have been spent in search of high quality fan made suits. :(

wow i choked on my food when i saw the costume wearers nose pressed against the glass of the helmet , zoom into the face .... the price is PHENOMINAL and i do not see why , the fabric looks awful and the armor paints do not match up like previously mentioned on this thread , and you do not even get the boots ...so what you get this suit and you gotta wear your converse sneakers with it?! lol ... it says jetpack is included but i do not see one ..so i wonder if its an inflatable jetpack ... ugh i wonder how much it cost for all them mass produced costume parts , what a shame ...then again i am happy the price is so high because people can look at that , and then look at what regular people commission on here , for a bit extra you can get a BEAUTIFUL suit that is movie quality .... i mean if you are going to pay that much on garbage mite as well get the real deal

While The Vader is not movie accurate either, it blows the Boba Fett out of the water. At least the Vader is salvageable.

To Error, I believe there are two version one with and one without. Cal I have the Vader one on a stand and it looks good and yes not movie accurate but when compared to the stromtrooper I have seen Wow why did Rubies go so cheap?
