RS Prop Masters Lineage Boba Fett Helmet

What I meant was that the run started a couple of years ago... I ordered mine at the beginning, and haven't heard any progress updates. It would be awesome to see if others have received theirs. I'm sure RS had a ton of orders, and I know these helmets take an incredible amount of time and effort to paint.
I received mine (fully painted with metal ears) around four months ago.

I would send them an email asking for an update on an existing order. They may still be working on the run.
 
I think many of the Fett helmets were damaged in the fire last year and they are still catching up because the detailed paint jobs take time. Definitely email them.
 
With RS not offering these anymore, what would be the best alternative to getting a high-end Fett helmet?

There are multiple vendors who are offering G4/G5 castings of the hero helmet. I believe RS stated that they're going to continue to do runs of their G2 helmets in the future but only as kits. Machine Craft Replicas offers G2 but they haven't done a run since their first offering.

I have a Machine Craft Replicas helmet painted by Fett 4 Real...it was pricey but well worth it.

Also still waiting. Rob said on their YouTube channel a few months ago that they would finish the run before the end of this year. Probably best to email them and ask for an update.

Yeah, I've emailed Andrea many times. It's always on the way, shipping in August, next up or in pre-painting phase.

Exactly the same for me, have you received yours yet?
My last email response (mid December) from Andrea said that mine was in the batch being finished and it would be ready for delivery early in the New Year, I’m beginning to think she meant New Year 2024 at this point.

Not yet. I followed up this past week,... they said it's on the way. Starting to think they're going Anovos on me. :(

I can guarantee they won’t do an Anovos/EFX on you. They ALWAYS come through. They had the fire which destroyed a few of them but they also just take on too much sometimes as everyone wants in on their product and they are only a small team. They are great people and while it may take a while they will not let you down. I promise.

I wouldn’t even mind if they were bothering to give updates, but they conveniently ignore the fact that it even exists in most of their YouTube update videos, and only give basic updates when I’ve chased them with the info changing each time and no detail as to why the delays are occurring (did the metal ears need remaking after the fire?)

The email replies aren’t even consistent. In Sept 2021 mine was apparently half way down the list and they were working in batches of 10.

In March 2022, there were setbacks but Becka was painting them (thought John was meant to be painting these but whatever) and it was their main priority (feels like making YouTube videos is their main priority)

Sept 2022 they put out a YT video about the Fett lid so I contacted them and was told were shipping in batches of 5 with a batch shipping that week, with mine in the third batch.

And in December 2022 the response I got was early New Year as mine is in the 5 being finished but I honestly can’t see it appearing until after Star Wars Celebration which will make it almost 3 years from ordering.

Thankfully I’ve only paid the first £500 with £650 still to pay, but it’s certainly put me off ordering anything else from them which is a shame as I love the two Stormtrooper buckets I have from them (Hero and the 10th anniversary “HDPE” Stunt).
 
I'll say this about RS and painting Fett helmets. It is a legitimate nightmare. They've had to change a lot in regards to finishing this project but they've never failed.

I don’t doubt the intricacies of getting the project done, or the setback the fire had on RS, it’s the lack of communication that is the issue.

Keeping customers in the loop, with at least semi regular updates, and not giving inconsistent answers to queries would go a long way.

In the (over) 2 and a half years since ordering, I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times they’ve given any solid information within one of their update videos on YouTube.
