RPF recasting policy?

After months of negotiation I was able to purchase a vacuum form that appears to be production used by Lucasfilm.

Elstree apparently auctioned the form years ago. It resurfaced last year.

I am going to use the form to have a few parts professionally pulled for my own use. In addition to the purchase price of the form there will be the cost for the pulls themselves. The costs of additional pulls are negligible beyond the cost of the pulls that will be for personal use.

Is it possible to offer the additional pulls as a junkyard run or is this a problem under the RPFÂ’s recasting policy?

if you give everyone on this page one for free... then its cool... :angel

if you bought an original piece... its kinda up to you... but like all things i wouldnt go making a website with names and trademarks for mass produced runs of said item...

SO WTF IS IT??? :angry

It's not recasting, but I would be careful not to advertise too much. A couple extra pulls for friends might not be a problem but a full-fledged run might get attention.

I was just thinking of starting a collection of pulled forms, what great timing. :thumbsup

Now, that's funny.

Man, to be honest, this is an awkward 2nd post. I suggest spending a little time using the search feature and try and be more specific when you post.

Since you can't use the junkyard, anyway; why not read up on things a bit prior to fishing for business.

This will probably make for a more pleasant reaction from the villagers.

Yes, for sure, I'd wwant at least two (to paint in different colors) and one to put on the wall, perhaps?

Especially at a price of "negligible."

Please add me to the interest list, I'm dying to know what I 've bought. ;)

On a scale of one to ten; how authenticated was the item? If it is an original buck from LFL then it's not a recast and therefore no big whoop, however producing pulls from it might be the kind of thing you'd want to be discreet about. An original mould would be quite a find though, share some more details.

Negligible price?Hmmmm....doesn't happen to be a saber mould does it?If it is...... :thumbsup
As the others have said though best to keep it a bit off the radar particularly in the current climate.
On the other hand if it's a saber..PM ME. :lol :lol
