RPF Dictionary...submissions wanted

So a buddy of mine has been lurking on the RPF for a while and doesn't want to register just yet. He wants to make sure he knows our "lingo" so he doesn't look stupid when asking questions as he is new to the hobby. So I thought I'd start an RPF dictionary for him.
I encourage anyone that has suggestions to please add them. For example:

GREEBLIE Tiny detail pieces on a prop that are usually easily found items or such a small detail that you may take artistic lisence with it.

WEEPING When a resin cast piece doesn't sure properly. It's usually not noticed until the piece is primered or painted. Usually due to improper mixing or out of date resin. 50/50 percent chance of fixing it by either cutting out the uncured piece and rebuilding it or drying it out in a slow baking oven.

Also, if anyone has better definitions, by all means, bring 'em on! :thumbsup

Or more specifically prop stuff...

Poping or pop - making a cast of an item.

Slush cast - Having resin that is a bit thicker than normal and slushing it in a circle motion in a mould to coat the faces of the mould so you can create hollow castings. IE helmets.

Be sure to stress that the past tense of cast is "cast" and the past tense of recast is "recast." There is no such frakking word as "casted" or "recasted."

A good list of all the acronyms would be IMMENSELY helpful, especially the ones for props and helmets. Trooper helmets in particular have a TON of them.

Oops- forgot to add some...

Blue Meanies- Soft, or uncured areas in silicone where the catylist wasn't mixed thoroughly.

Gator(s)- Single and occasional clumps of glass fiber that stick up in a fiberglass casting and become small needles once the resin cures.

Hot Resin!- Resin that's been mixed and must be used right away. It also makes the phone ring or IMs to appear.

Kick- When resin or silicone starts to seriously cure where you can't move it around any more.

Slush n' Brush- a casting method where you make a hollow casting by pouring in a measure of resin, slosh it around to coat all the beauty surfaces, then use a disposeable brush to chase it around until the resin sets, thus insuring a clean, even coat.

Resin Slinger- Anyone who frequently uses (usually urethane based) casting resin.

Resin Monkey- Any resin slinger who predominately casts resin for another person for pay. Somewhat derogatory, don't use this term in front of your resin monkey, or he may retreat to his tree and leave you to do everything yourself for two months, until you start paying him an additional $5.00 per item. :unsure

Glass Man- someone who predominately works in fiberglass, and knows the arcane and mysterious "Ways of the Glass".

When one of the above Star Wars movie acronym is placed behind a Star Wars character its usually in reference to the lightsaber that particular character used in that particular movie.

E.g. OBW(or Obi) ANH refers to Obi Wan Kenobi's lightsaber in A New Hope.

BSG - Battlestar Galactica (shouldn't it actually be BG?)
TOS - The Original Series (Star Trek)

ST - Stormtrooper/Star Trek
Lid - Helmet
Bucket - Helmet

TDH - The Dented Helmet (Boba Fett Forum)
TPZ - The Prop Zone (a forum for everything sci fi)
RS - Rebelscum (forum or website)
BBC - Blaster Builders Club

PKD - Deckard's weapon in Blade Runner. PKD stands for Philip K. Dick (the creator of BR), or the more fancy version, Plager Katsumate Series-D blaster. It was designed by Rick Ross of Doppelganger Productions, who also coined the name (in tribute to Philip K. Dick).
