Well, it's not exactly in Bandai territory. The new bits look like one-parters, so don't model all the detail with gaps, etc. But the sidewalls are a vast improvement over the original MPC Falcon kit. Amusing to see they replicated a visible screwhead on a rear sidewall piece.
They don't show the engine quarter deck - that was the other area that was way out to lunch in the original. Looks like the panel lines in the docking rings are painted on.
But it does look like a reasonable choice for people who don't want to spend the cash on Bandai and who aren't that fussed about mould sharpness and screen fidelity. If they think there's a market for this, that's great!
On the other hand, while the TIE fighter is a weird random scale, it looks excellent detail-wise. Pretty cool.
