hi there.

i am sculpting a new ROTJ emperor palpatine silicone mask. this mask will cover the entire head.

i started with a hollow fiberglass bust. then i sculpted a rough Ian McDiarmid bust over that to make sure the nose,mouth ,eyes and general shape of the head and face were good before trying to emperor look.

here is where we are. step one complete. rough ian sculpt.

Great likeness for a rough sculpt, exspecially the mouth area...
I would love to see a complete head mask, keep it coming...

Excellent start. You can see Ian in there so the finish should be quite nice.

here is the finished sculpt. i did not do full on old man ears and neck because ian was in his 30's when he played palpatine in ROTJ. if i keep going with the old age sculpting it would look like an old man with a palpatine forehead. hope to start molding this sunday and have a casting next week. i will be using ecoflex.
