ROTJ detonator charges

Yeah, wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to drill them.
good properly sized bit on a drill press and a decent fabricator could do that pretty quickly with the right marking tool (pencil and 45 centerline combo sq.... and good eyes)

thats partly why I’m open to the idea
That it’s a two piece part as well maybe natively screwed together.
the three key center spline is what throws me. I haven’t found any shafts that feature that, but it almost looks like a bulb housing too.
Basically... keep looking haha

If you look at the seam where the two parts meet...

...you can see what looks like someone took a knife or saw and cut it. I believe they cut off some of the inner opening to make it fit. So let's assume that it was a baffle was actually a little taller with a smaller opening. So what ever the main body is... let's say a motor housing. The diameter of the motor housing was too large. So to get it to fit, they simply hacked away enough from the top of the baffle in order to get the proper diameter for the motor housing to fit well enough to cement together.

At least that's what I think.

Both Alba and Ferguson were U.K. based manufacture but I did not find any ties between them.

My guess is that the knobs are the same and were supplied by a 3rd party supplier. There may still be other manufacturers using these same knobs. This guess is based on absolutely nothing. :p

I think the only parts missing are:
  • the top metal cap
  • the hard to see part inside the cavity in the back

I actually see a circuit board in there, that third recess

Roy thanks for finding more of those slider knobs, this is good and bad news

DOGFOX2109 all the discoveries and discussions are over 3 threads lol
This thread and these two:

and for the sake of keeping track of things, I took the liberty of updating a photo division 6 posted in the limpet mine thread:

And great finding more slider knobs on other turntables! At least it means the part itself should be readily available.. Even if we might not find "the" donor

My estimate is 2 mm (just eyeballing) - 3 mm is 1/8th inch and I am using a lot of 3 mm aluminum in building my hoth blaster. Those heads look thinner than this, but 1 mm is probably too small
