Rorschach's Journal - Research and Show-off Thread

I'm still waiting for mine to show. Sometime this week, hopefully! I'm mega-excited.

Thanks for the review, Kody. Glad to hear my expectations are right on the money. :cool

Thanks for the kind words, Kody. The weathering is tricky as it needs to look used, not old. I'm used to weathering old books like the Grail Diary and the Nine Gates but the journal required some "balancing" if you will. Of course, it needs to look slightly more than used as well, taking into account that Rorschach's not exactly the most hygenic person on the block. :lol

:lol We may need to add alittle bean juice! Can't wait for mine!

My journal showed up today! And let me say, Kody was not joking - it is so freaking nice. Weathering is great, the inserts are great, everything about it is great. Definitely worth your money.

You did a really awesome job, Kalkamel! Thank you so much, man.

They came out PERFECT! Thanks so much for the time and effort you have put into making this run happen!(y)thumbsup

I can"t wait to get mine!

I was searching around for ideas for a journal to do after hand writing and drawing the Indiana Jones Grail Diary, I thought about Rorschach's journal and found this thread.

Awesome work, I wish I had seen it sooner and had the cash available. Very creative.

Still thinking about my next project. Maybe Dances with Wolves journal.

Probably because of the thread's date. Bumping a thread from 2010 would be considered a "necro post".

Still that is allot or work and a great end result. I think replicating a book form a film is hard because of finding the right fonts (or fonts that look like hand writing) and getting the spacing correct.

This is in part why I keep shelving my Jerry McQuire Mission Statement. Screen caps look totally different to the available text and I constantly bothered that it look wrong.
