Rogue One Rebel Soldier Helmet

Has the earpiece been identified if it's a found part? I saw here there were some 3D files years ago for the helmet pieces but they no longer seem to be available.

I recently purchased one of these helmets but it's missing that piece. Hopefully I can find the files for it.

I made a few additions like the steel rod (60mm x 9mm on Amazon) and nylon strap behind the forehead holes. I am waiting for a convex lens to arrive for the bottom hole. In the meantime I am using a small plastic cap there. I added a wire to the flashlight, even though that's not accurate since the wire is for the missing piece.

Nice.

I was recently given 3 steel pots, no liners or straps but did come with a cover for another type of helmet that turned out to be the correct pattern for R1.

I forget which helme it was since everything i own is currently in storage.

Just remember that the R1 used WW2 era M1 helmets and not the later low dome era helmets. You can see differences here: Vietnam Era Low Dome M-1

I only mention this as if you buy a shield kit, it may not fit or look right once finished. I am confident that if desired suitable replica can be made with the later era helmets and even those utilized in other countries if someone made the shield specifically for their helmet type to help mirror the look od the screen used helmet.

This is also import to know when trying to find a liner.

Until something better comes along, i throw some different shapes together in tinkercad. I don't have a lot of 3D file creation experience. I get by with basic shapes I can manipulate in tinkercad. So this is by no means an accurate replica. Not a lot of clear images so I just guessed a lot at what I was seeing. Just something I can add to my helmet.

I plan to resize a bit because I measured nothing at this point. Hope to print later tonight.

Nicely done.

When I look at the photo up close I see a headphone jack, a magnet, and a couple wires. I'm probably just going to cobble something together with scrap pieces and hold it together with epoxy.

Once I find a new place to live I'll be tackling the helmets, I already took apart the cover and made a pattern.

I plan to Sculpt and mold the shells myself.
