Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Pre-release)

Rarely talked about when folks are PT-bashing, but this "small galaxy" contrivance is one of the stupidest decisions George made when writing the prequels.

The Wook

Yes, but on the other hand it makes a certain amount of sense if you're high. Space is mostly empty as far as we can tell, so there's not much story where there aren't people to be characters, so in that sense it doesn't seem any more contrived than a million other movies with chance meetings.

They claimed to have death sentences on 12 systems, maybe they're at a pirate/criminal convention? Or a prison where they escape, and this makes the 12th

I can accept it if there is a scene in Mos Eisley.
Although I would not accept a scene in Mos Eisley.

Are we to assume they spent their entire criminal careers in Mos Eisley? How would they have deaths sentences in 12 other systems? Some sort of online scam?

It would be great if the camera just rests on them long enough to hear a snippet of their 'chat-up' line,...where they successfully rob someone & flee

Or, if we see them as the camera pans towards the main focus and the subtitle shows Ponda asking a guy where he got his hair done, then we just hear Doc going into his bit as the camera passes.

I'm very excited about Rogue One, and so I ask friends if they know about it, or if they've seen the trailers....it's surprising how many don't know about it. Disney isn't going to sit on this until the last minute and drop it in our laps and say "Here...Star Wars-ish" and hope it does well, they're going to have it plastered on every wall, on every TV, every opportunity they can until the movie comes out, because $$$$ ;)

Well the release of a commercial this early is a bit odd but considering that so far their promotion of this movie has been almost nonexistent, at least it's something. I've heard of a number of people that think this is Ep. VIII and others that frankly just don't care about it.
