OK so I have a bit of an update.. with pics Been working on making this nice and smooth/round and as accurate as I can. I have the grills modeled and printed as well.. I have one side pretty much done.. now the other side and I will be working on making the top "grill" a separate piece. I'm also working on the engines and I have the mesh for the front top 2 holes. Braided hose on order and working on the harness and gloves when this is closer to done

God lord! I feel like I'm peaking in at the back of the show girl tent at the carnival and now I need confession! Look at those lines! Those rivets! The venting! I can just picture it all shiney chrome splattered here and there with oil and dust and soot scoring. The smell of the burnt fuel and metal. The steel tinging softly as it cools! I. Cannot. Wait!!

I have an MIM pack I am working on currently. I would be down for engines, glove activator and harness.

Look at those lines! Those rivets! The venting!!

Just to call out a couple things here: Curtis did replace the rivets in order to make sure they were all super sharp. But he drilled out every cast-in rivet first, creating a pilot hole in the exact position of the existing rivets so the "drift" from the center line, a handful of instances of uneven spacing are all still accurate. The vents here are still just the cast in originals; Curtis is modeling and 3D printing clean, precise replacements, which will sit on a shelf built into the hull just like the hero packs. The work he's doing on this kit is incredible! I'm so excited.

Ok I can put you down for the harness and activator, but I'm not sure I will be selling pieces separately, no idea of fitment with other props.

I'm looking at the form now and it mentions the potential option of finishing the pack. Any initial estimates on the price of finishing? Would it also be possible to include an option for attaching the harness / activator as well?

I will offer finishing work, a rough guess would be $1000-1200usd for finishing. If there are electronics etc then the cost would go up from there. The pack will come with indents where the holes need to be drilled for the harness to be attached. I will need to figure something out for the activator. it was a specific pack with a different hook up for that.. so a completely different back part..

Just the packs.. I will let everyone know when the harness and activator will be getting done.. I'm not offering the gloves at this point, just the activator "glove" there are full gloves wore under the activator as well.

Guys, Curtis has scaled this project - ordered kit parts, supplies, invested time - based on the interest expressed here. Even after acknowledging that the final costs would likely be at the high end of his estimates (most kits don't include nearly everything Curtis has been looking to package to set everyone up), people have been posting their interest. I just checked in with him and heard that so far just a third of the members have followed through. I know it's not been too long, but a 66% loss from an interest list is pretty devastating even by RPF run standards. I really hope this run doesn't die on the backs of casually dismissive "interest" posters! This project has been a dream for several of us for years, and for Curtis, this is his livelihood. Please, follow through. If you're no longer interested, at least respond to Curtis' message and let him know so he can recalculate/recalibrate accurately and see where we can go from here. Thanks!

I couldn't agree more with this comment. I'd hate for people to lose their chance to own a dream prop due to lack of interest. I'm really hoping this picks up steam and we can all benefit from this incredible opportunity. Thanks for speaking up!
