Rocketeer Cirrus X3- The Veepy Build

Smaller progress tonight. I made the liner for the box. As stated before I know this partvis not movie accurate but I wanted to make sure the rocket didn't get damaged. I used foam floor tiles and made it a snug fit. I'll be covering the foam with black fabric to match the movie and to cover all the seams (so don't mind them). I will also be adding a leather strap to hold it down while it being carried/transported.

Does anyone by chance had extra rivets they are trying to get rid of? I know many of you ended up gettin 1000 count because its cheaper than buying 3 sets of 100 count ....

Huge thanks to RuNvS for the tips on constructing my case. It’s for a Guyton all-metal pack and not a Veepy, but I don’t see many case builds out there and thought it belonged here as well.

I got the one from your link, it fit perfectly. It just took some time because when you cut the line all the strands start to fray out. There was some blood that went in to this cause the strands kept poking me lol. Also you will need more than 10ft if you want to go all the way around the engines.

I got the flared nuts and the compression sleeves from this site for $16 shipped:

Here are the model numbers:
341-04 - Flare Nut, Long, 1/4"
360-05 - 5/16" Brass Compression Tube Sleeve

The copper pipe I got from Home Depot for $10

It works great cause its really easy to bend. I didn't see anything shorter than 10 feet but I figured I'd use it on another project some day.
How many total feet of hose did you need?

Iirc I had about 2-3 feet left. Sorry I gave the rest away so I can’t measure what was left.
So how may total feet of hose did you use? You mentioned that 10 feet wasn't enough

Also, just to be sure, you bought 24 Compression Tube Sleeves and 04 Flare Nuts, right?

My apologies I thought you were talking about the copper tube.

The braided lines I only used the 10ft as I didn’t go all the way around the engine. I believe I only did 8 lines on each one. So I used 16 compression sleeves. The flare nuts are only on the fronts so yes 4 only needed.
