Rocketeer Cirrus X3 build question

Ok finheads, got a question. I want to do a scratch built X3 jet pack but I have run into a problem. I've found two different sizes listed as the "correct" screen used size of the main rocket engines: 7.25" and 7.5". I know the 1/4 inch doesn't sound like much but I would like to be correct. Can someone please confirm which size is correct? I measured some screen caps but they vary just enough where I can't tell which is correct. Thanks in advance.

No one? X3a.jpgWhat's the size then of the ACME / MIM pack? Please let me know as I just can't determine the correct size. Thanks.

no matter what you do or how hard you try to keep the same measurements exact with the rocketpack...it wont be 100% perfect and a 1/4 inch wont make difference

the best thing you can do is make an estimated guess...

I guess I thought someone might happen to know which size was the correct size as I've seen both sizes listed in threads as the size of the "actual movie prop". I plan on fabricating mine out of metal so 1/4 inch could end up making a big difference in how everything goes together. Guess I'll have to pick one and scale everything to that size and hope for the best. To infinity and... oh wait that's a different rocketman :p

Where did you get the measurements from? Did you mean the whole circumference of the rocket engine? Cause it's around 21 something inches

Thanks everyone. I had figured out many of the sizes but the main rocket size I kept finding conflicting info and even when I tried to measure a screen cap it left too much room for doubt. My measurements from a screen cap were close to the ones provided by Brett and Valor but thank you for the precise sizes. It's tough to allow for curvature sometimes plus you never know if the film ratio is compressed or not which further adds to distortion of objects. Time to get some metal ordered. Thanks guys I appreciate it.
