Robocop stuff?

I am just curious if anyone here knows where I could purchase some screen used or screen accurate props or costumes from the any of the Robocop movies?

Thanks,
B

Good luck!

Screen used costumes pop up on eBay every once in a while, mostly Rehab outfits, though.

The suit itself is available from one Bruce Hansing who had, at one time or another, the molds for the stunt suits in the first film. After a while they degraded so he's using newer molds that aren't entirely accurate, but they're still the best out there. Oh, and IIRC the molds to the soft armor have always been missing, so those are entirely original sculpts AFAIK.

Just a heads up, be sure to get some advice here before you make an expensive purchase from someone. Make sure you don't get ripped off!

That's why I am here. I figure the people here are way more knowledgeable than myself and have the experience dealing with this type of stuff. Thanks for the warning!

Bruce Hansing is definitely the way to go if you want a suit.

Milbo on the Robocop archives can cast you up some thinner more flexible midsections - and gloves.

get a KSC auto 9 bb gun if you want a good auto 9 replica.

Good luck!

Propstore had a robocop suit not so long ago. However i'm not sure that it was a screen used suit, if memory serves it was a promotional type suit. Made for the release of the first movie.
i think though, it was a good few thousand pounds!!!

I used to have one of Bruce Hansing's suits. If you can find one, I highly recommend it. Wish I had never sold it.

There's a long wait time for Bruce's Robocop suit. I've been waiting almost a year for mine and still haven't gotten it.

Yea, I think I waited about a year and a half. Don't worry to those who are waiting. Bruce is just extremely busy.. but he does come through.

It really is a great suit.

Does anyone know how Bruce's current suits are? Last time I was checking into them he had two etched lines on the helm instead of an inset band and was just reverting back to the proper design, but don't know what's happened since.

And is he still providing resin leg pistons or has he moved onto aluminum?

Oh, and if the OP is only interested in the helmet, the aforementioned Milbo from RoboCopArchive.com not only produces the soft armor (gloves, midsection, joints, etc.) but makes helmets as well, and was the one to provide Kylie Minogue with the helm they modded for one of her recent television performances.

He also does aluminum shoulder brackets and leg pistons as well, IIRC.

Great guy, BTW.

Bruce definitely retooled a bunch of details on the suit since his first version.

Bruce is still providing resin leg pistons..

Milbo is currently out of aluminum rings and pistons.. Ironically I just asked him for some two days ago. But his latex midsection, gloves, and chin guards are top notch.

Here are the pics of Bruce's "current" suit which I got almost a year ago.

Plus, if anyone has metal leg pistons and aluminum rings - let me know.. I'm looking for some.

I still get a big grin on my face every time I see new pics of a Robo suit. One of my favorite film designs ever. Bottin really knocked that one out of the park.

Oh, and is it my imagination or is the back vent/socket panel on the full suit's helm a separate piece?

nope that part isn't a seperate piece..

The "whole helmet" has three pieces.. 1) the dome part (which is all one piece, including the socket panel in the back) 2) the front of the chin guard 3) the back of the chin guard.

Cool. When Bruce had switched to the etched helmet lines he had also made the back panel a separate piece which, while accurate to RoboCop 3, wasn't the case in the first film. Glad to see he's back to the original design.
