ROBOCOP at Dragon*Con info.

i have seen a robo armor 2 different times for sale on ebay, and the last time was just recently. the last time was a version 2 upgraded one. better stronger joints and moving leg pistons.

RC is one of my fav costumes. The info you guys have shared is great. I've enjoyed reading it all,it takes me back to my Art Institute days in PA.
I used to hang with my buds and watch RC 1&2 over and over along with Aliens and etc. I had seen the toursuits a few times and thought how cool would it be to have a Rc costume.
Sorry to Hyjack but i hope to one day add a RC to my dispay room. I think 5'8" is to short -right to wear this awesome armor?
And i hope i'm not stepping to far out of line to ask to see any more pics of the costume pieces being worn or just layed out??
Great thread:thumbsup

... but i'm only 5'6" (5'6 and a half on a good day) :rolleyes and I bought it for display purposes only... though I do love walking around with the helmet on while doing laundry or cleaning house..

haha... no seriously.. actually Hansing has actually modified the armor to fit shorter people so it's all good..

The ROBOCOP guy in question, was actually about my same high (5'7"-5'8") when I talked to him. That gave me the motivation to pursue the project in the near future. I recall him telling me about "Hansing from the UK" when I asked him where did he get the armor from, but I thought it was a JAPANESE NAME of sorts. :lol

WOW, nice info so far. It's like going back to the late '80's. :D

Speaking of which... do you know anyone that has made cable robocop armor? the black chrome one from robocop prime directives? I always thought that was an amazing suit but i've only seen one or two pictures of someone actually owning one.

If I remember right, Hansing offered his suits with an optional black paintjob with silver highlights after it was requested a couple of times. RoboCable's suit was identical (exact same molds, etc., just not weathered like Fletcher's RoboSuit) except for the midsection being split in two to make up for Wint's longer torso, and extended joints. And, of course, the mirrored visor. :)
