ROBOCOP (1987) Costume Build

[STEALTH]

Hey everyone,

Just sharing some progress on my personal Robocop suit. I'll be molding and casting the parts.
This is my dream costume. So I'm really excited about finally getting to work on this after so long.

Here is the Torso Section ready to mold. It will be casted in semi-rigid urethane resin when done.
Stomach parts are done. Those are casted in tinted urethane rubber.
Helmet is casted in resin as well from an oil based clay sculpt from quite a few years back.

Hope the old school Robocop fans follow along.

heh yeah, the only thing I ever had planned were the plates on the leg moving, which is doable to a point. Not much else for obvious reasons.

Very nice, is the helmet all one piece or is the jaw removable (like with magnets/straps)? My friend loves Robocop and would love something like this.

The helmet is once piece out of the mold and then I just trim out the mouth area and trim apart the jaw at the line then use clips or magnets to have them rejoin

Here's an update. I have the torso and biceps ready to mold in this pic but really they're currently under silicone already.

One thing - the 3 vertical pieces below the pecs probably should be tapered to more of a point, Accuracy versus practicality/strength maybe?

Thanks. I noted things before I molded it and made adjustments already a few days ago along with a trim line around the collar
and rounding off the bottom border and it was too square here
