There's always the possibility that a high-quality journal manufacturer has acquired a license from the BBC to manufacture one of these with real leather and the whole shebang. Forcing Entertainment Earth to release a cartoony-looking version may be a way of avoiding a licensing conflict.

There are? I've only ever seen a few that are ok quality wise, but lack the proper spine & color.

and its superb the ones she sell r over sized but I asked for mine to be correct size and provided specs and she done it.

I must admit in the past I didn't like her versions as they were found to be oversized and wrong colour to the original on screen but I emailed her requirements and the new one I have is spot on

I'm currently saving up for her diaries, Doctor and River, with the full interior artwork. I think they're just lovely.

This one also lacks the proper spine and color. I've seen a few on Etsy that weren't leather but looked alright for $50 or so. Better than this one.

The artist does a great job on those. He gives a lot of attention to detail. Why do I call him 'he'? Check out his blog.

Well I calculated it to be this using the sonic and my hand span which is just average size to be
height of 7.2" and 5.5" including spine thickness. I opted for a version in between TIA and Silence in the library. I wanted it darker than her normal versions as seen in the show (more of its leather is unworn hence darker- river's song's journal has never been worn to the extent its white ((except the spine)) which is a mistake made when doing these diaries. In addition if worn to much the leather will feel like suede and its not meant to look /feel like that)
I don't like the inside of the version she does, im such a critic, im sorry. Its no order to it and contains things unneeded by River Song in my opinion obviously.
I currently have a Jack's vortex manipulator on the go, Ive commissioned one from a guy (I cant give his name as he has requested due to it being a bbc product) but its fab, the faceplate from shapeways and buttons are stainless steel. I have also asked for the faceplate to contain a tvbgone board so it can turn off any tele. and tbh it does work the tvbegone which is awesome!!. The leather was moulded and died and looks amazing so far...looking forward top getting it next week. Used a huge load of reference material for this e.g. did you know jack's vortex manipulator only should have two poppers visable facing away from him, where as most ppl put 4 on it-two either side of the rist. The 2 on the inside of his wrist are under the leather not ontop. I opted for 4 poppers visible though as there was more reference material with some visible compared to the 2 popper version of miracle day.
I have also got river's sonic being made from metal like the original using the toy for sizing and detail with added extras such as the 3 green dots at the bottom of the sonic being 3 LED's and also the red switch just below the removable part being the switch to change from red to blue settings. I didn't want the button on the toy be the button for the activation key for the sonic tho as on the bbc diagrams that tardis remote return button, but cant think of anywhere else the activation button would go.
I cant seem to upload images to add some for u guys.
