Rip Torn arrested for breaking into bank with weapon..

To my recollection, illegal possession of a firearm in a federal building (bank) is a felony charge whether the institution is open for business or not...

I don't know the What If's and There For's of what happened, but seriously, WTF? CT has a boatload of shelters or otherwise appropriate places to go to sleep off a drunk or for more help if it is needed...

CT IMHO is (has been for years) rivaling NJ for "Armpit of the Nation", (born and raised, and reason I moved), but still, why didn't he just go to Fairfield and knock on Dave Letterman's door and say, "Dude, can I pull up a piece of carpet for the night?"...

Memo to Rip Torn's management: If there's a positive spin to this weekend's unfortunate little field trip, that's it.

Come to think of it, this has the potential of boosting the man's career in the long run. First, though, he'll have to pay his societal dues and get himself cleaned up -- no mean feat, given his age.

I'm rooting for him, though!

The more it gets mentioned, the more I'd be willing to see a Men In Black 3. Torn or no Torn.
