RIP Glenn Frey

Local boy so it's a bit extra sad because I know people who knew him and grew up by him. Very sad on so many fronts.
 
Given how old (although 67 isn't old) a lot of these people are, I've been dreading a year when we lose a lot of famous people, but it's still a slap in the face.
 
If you want to see some good Eagles stuff, watch that three hour documentary--Making of the Eagles, I think it is called--excellent!!

A lot of these guys lived so hard that their bodies are older than their years. That's part of it. It seems like a lot of heavy substance abusers die of heart failure & cancer before their time even though it may be decades after they curbed the drug habits.


I'm not trying to point fingers at Glenn Frey, just making a general observation.

I mean, David Bowie? His cocaine habit was epic in the 1970s. And I don't know if he ever quit smoking constantly.
