In parts, I mean. There's some fun speculation in there, but he's unaware that the shot of the three ships in the sky shows an escape pod in the foreground, and thinks it's the massive flying saucer ship. He thinks the Prometheus is taking "engine damage", when it's being rammed into the Derelict. He thinks the flying saucer is the ship which does that. He thinks the Derelict's silo is in the pyramid, somehow.

Dude...watch the trailer, THEN go through the screencap galleries!

Of course, all my ideas are going to prove hilariously wrong also, so, um... :lol

Aaaaargh! It's been a few days, and still no one has figured out the password. I've tried everything I could think of, sifting through the "company timeline" over on weylandindustries.com, but no luck. C'mon people! Help crack the code!

You know Fred, someone suggested to me today that they might be using CGI to hide some things, or keep some things secret in the trailers.

You might have smoked it out. Just imagine sitting down in the theater and those things that look like rocks in the trailers suddenly look like Giger's work on the screen.

They're definitely doing something. I mentioned before the fact that they "blacked out" the goop that David pulls out of the ampule. They're also making changes for the MPAA.. we know about the blood thing, that happens all the time, but the guy that jumps off the top of the vehicle is on fire in the International trailer, but not in the American one.

Not sure what to make of the rock shape.. while it does bear a resemblance to that painting, that's not even from this franchise.. that was done for Dune. I'm hoping it's more in line with the "Silo" painting that Giger did for Alien.. seems more likely that Ridley would keep the art "close to home", so to speak.
 
By the way, is it still necessary to be using spoiler tags in this thread? Haven't we pretty much established that anyone opening this topic is looking for spoilers anyway?
 
Yeah - the "Details" part of the title kinda covers that, for mine.

It's the Harkonnen castle, plain and simple. In the closer shots they show it from 90 degrees to the left, and close/low, which makes it look more like the A L I E N pyramid. Or maybe it's more of a mashup of both. I've been expecting a face on the front of that bulge, anyway. Bet there is one, or weathered remains of one.

Also...Eridu. Hmm. It's a real place of course but it really makes me think we're locked in now for the full von Daniken/New Age experience, here. :lol Any takers for a bet we'll hear mention of elohim? Nibiru, maybe? :lol
 
Lutso, look for more blinking Morse Code stars, I guess? I was expecting a little more too.
