Any idea about cost on just the lid, may be interested if price is right. Cool builds guys, this has long been a "most wanted" prop for me. Can't wait to see the finished lids.

I too thought that they were green for the longest time, And the ones in part 3 clearly are. But the ones from parts 1 and 2 are black. They have a ton of dust on them as well as cobwebs, and simulated rust streaks. I confirmed this with Bill Stout, as well as Jules Brenner the DOP. I didn't even bother asking them until I took some screen grabs from the first 2 movies and cleaned them up in photoshop. It's amazing once you adjust the brightness, and color correct you can really see some details. As long as you know what color something actualy is...for example the text on the barrel, you can compare it with everything else. The letters are white, so you can see the barrel color is black. The thing you have to remember is that when things are filmed, they use different colored lights, as well as filters to get the effect that they want. Which is why the colors look different in normal lighting conditions. Remember the whole Halloween debate about the color of the coveralls being blue or green? I thought they were blue for the longest time, as did most people...but they are in fact green. There was a ton of blue lighting and filters used during the filming to give it that dark look. But if you doubt me, take a screen grab from the daytime scene outside the school, just after Tommy busts the pumpkin and runs into Michael. Open it in photoshop, and use the auto color, contrast and brightness. This will remove any added filters and show the true colors. Green, just like his jumper boots. Anyway, I need a list of how many people think they want lids, so I can come up with a price. The more people, the better deal I can make. This is just a list, not a contract. Plus, if anybody has any ROTLD stuff I don't own, I would be interested in buying it. Thanks and I hope this helps. Joe
