Resin Question for a new project

So, I have been toying with the idea for many years of building a usable hockey goalie mask. I used to be a goalie myself, now retired, but a good buddy of mine wants to start playing again and has tasked me with making him a mask.

I know the design angles, and safety precautions when building a hockey mask but what I am having trouble finding out is the appropriate type of resin to use for this type of mask. I plan on using a combination of Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass cloth, and Kevlar for these helmets so if anyone can point me in the right direction or to a company who would be better suited to answer my questions that would be greatly appreciated.

Klwl, thanks funny you should post that as I was reading that thread the other night. Unfortunately they didnt really go over what kinds of resins are used more debating about kevlar, carbon fiber......so on

I think you may be after a urethane preferably the stuff skate board wheels are made from. Its very durable, absorbs impacts, is slightly to highly flexible depending on the thickness and it can be backed with materials such as carbon fiber. If this is to be used as a safety mask, be very cautious. Safety sacrifice isnt worth looking cool after that safety was needed and not there.
