Resident Alien Device Detector Research topic

So I'm a big fan of Resident Alien and I want to make the detector he made in the first season to try to find his device and parts of his ship.

The obvious part is an antique fishing net, but from there it's hard to tell. It looks like he has a blue battery pack and a metal box strapped to his belt, along with a coiled phone cord. On the net it looks like some batteries or so.

I'm working to I.D the parts but having not much luck. If anyone here might recognize anything, please throw a tip out there
