Removing paint from a stormtrooper helmet

I'm no expert on TK armor but whatever method you choose be sure to test it out in a small area invisible from sight! This way if something goes horribly wrong you only have a small little area that is ruined rather than the entire helmet!

Of course this point is probably moot!

yeah 60 grit the paint i used was a congeled mess when i started resanding it

its turned out very nice though pist coat of primer is on

and at some point when i wake up after a few hours of sleep i'll

look it over sand it down a little more with 220 apply a second coat of primer

then finally start adding the white then a few coats of clear and it should

turn out much better...I hope :rolleyes :lol

I painted my styrene helmet with the white flexible plastic paint from Lowes and bothed the job.

I used Prep-all Kleanstrip that I bought at Walmart in the auto department. Its a surface prep wax and grease remover. I had a can left over that I used on a car hood. It says it can be used on metal, plastic, fiberglass.

Used a few cloths and lots of rubbing, and it took off all the paint. It didn't seem to do any damage to the plastic at all.

Repainted with the same plastic paint and it came out great.
