RED TAILS... How was it!?

Yeah, I loved the TV show as a kid but it was not exactly a historical document despite the consultant
status of Boyington on the show.... "Pappy's Lambs" for instance. LOL
I did see him in person long long ago at an airshow. There was a Japanese pilot there too, I swear they just leered at each other.

Pappy was never known for being perfectly honest.
He was dishonorably discharged from the Flying Tigers, btw, for being a drunken jerk.
He wrecked more AVG planes than JAF planes.

I saw the film, last year probably and while I didn't think it sucked, it wasn't really any good either. Some things looked like bad/cheap CGI and some things were really good.

They could easily do a modern version of The Battle of Britain, or do something a la Band of Brothers about various other branches of the service or different nations' militaries. There's no reason not to other than "People want to see comic book movies." Which is true, but which doesn't mean they DON'T want to see other thrilling tales.

They are in the process of making another sequel mini series to Band of Brothers, which will revolve around bomber pilots :) Masters of the Air I believe it is supposed to be called.

Loved BoB, loved The Pacific, I can't wait.

Yeah I've read about that so we shall see. Supposed to have some huge budget. I can't seem them spending an entire series on bombers and not have fighter stories too.
Though again not a theatrical release so still nothing on the big screen horizon.
