I decided to sculpt it would with clay to make a silicone mold. I'll probably use resin or smooth on to make the helmet.

It's been a while but, finally nearing completion. This project was a great learning experience. Tried a number of products and methods. Lots of trial and error which lengthened the process, but it was well worth it. Next build will be even better.
