In 2021, Gregory J. Hollman (eBay user patentpending77) sent me this message asking for a custom listing of 4 of my Back to the Future replica prop newspapers:
I agreed to the offer and sent him his order.
A few weeks later, I saw that he had listed these 8x10 photo reprints made directly from scans of the 4 newspapers that I sold him:
I messaged Hollman, informing him that I had permission to use the original prop scans to make my replicas, and that this permission did not extend to his copying of my items and reselling them. I asked that he remove the listings immediately. Within a day or so, he did take down the listings without ever responding to my message.
Recently, I was informed that Hollman is again selling the exact same reprints of my BTTF replicas on eBay, now listed at $12.77 each. I messaged him two days ago reminding him that he had no permission to sell reprints of my newspapers, and requested that he remove the listings by the end of the day, and not relist a third time. Yet again, he has not responded to my message, and the listings have not been removed.
His name and address is Gregory J. Hollman, 511 Main St Apt 26, West Haven, Connecticut. eBay username is patentpending77.
His eBay store is 'The Art of Innovation', and mostly features photo reprints of public domain patent drawings of various inventions.
