Rebel Transport scratchbuild.

Re: A storm is coming!

Damn you, Lee, I'm getting praise fatigue! I'm running out of new ways of saying nice things. Stop it! ;p

Martyn, im just fatigued :lol Im really into things now though, having fun, and when im having fun, im productive, at least, slowly productive lol.
The plating wont be fully accurate, ive gone a bit more generic i guess, but trying to get notches and apertures as they should be.

Cant wait to get all major plating on the hulls and lower plates now, as then, i can stop making such a mess of my work bench with the dremel and get a bit more clinical.......Guy, cheers buddy!

Re: A storm is coming!

Looks like really tricky work. You must have to cut curved lines in the styrene sheets just to make them look square when on the hull. Looking great!

Re: A storm is coming!

Exactly Scott, im cutting, from the spare hull pulls, but even then, the shift needed in placement on the panels (the outer skin being larger than the primary hull), then causes a few more headaches and adjustments in curvature, very tricky, messy and.....fun lol.

Re: A storm is coming!

It's looking very nice, Lee. Someone shoulda thought to make armor plate pulls over the top of the body pulls.

Re: A storm is coming!

You always give me a fright~!

Your work is gorgeous and perfect...:thumbsup

I think that could have been the fix Allan, but seeing as ILM have split the dorsal keel line too, id guess they did the same thing, much of this keel, is patched up with spare plating to my eye, so the overall effect will be achieved i think.

Eric, thanks buddy, i wouldnt say perfect lol, this is pretty much my first delve into something so extravagant and large, so many new challenges for me!

Re: A storm is coming!

Hey Lee,

I believe you will make it perfectly~! Cheers:lol

And I have been started again my ESB AT-ST since last month buddy!!!

Re: A storm is coming!

Eric, cheers buddy lol, but, more importantly, im dying to see your ATST, the start you made was very nice indeed, and its such an elegant model when completed i just love seeing them....more i say...more :lol

Re: A storm is coming!

One more~!

I will never paint for my AT-ST because I want to be seen used all kit-bashed parts w/o any painting in my muesum as if ILM working room...:)

I will be back here with my progress...

thanks Eric.

Re: A storm is coming!

Almost completed the basic plating on the upper hull, plan is now to get the few remaining large overlays done, then get the belly plates ready.

From there, i have to get to the several thousand strips, chips, notched squares, and scribing, its exhausting lol.

The uppermost access pit is a ways off (too forward), sadly i could not correct this, all the access pits, should they be cut in wrong on the primary hull, really become apparent when fitting the plating....ouch :lol

Lee,

Wow that's really taking on the rugged look I love on that ship. Glad to see you are still plugging away on her. Stunning is the word.

Sounds like you are really working out the ole patience skillset...

Wow, way to go Lee. Haven't caught up with this one for a while. You've been busy I see. Looking really great. Proportions look bang on. I want one!
