Randy Cooper Blockade Runner - to buy or not to buy

I've purchased a few kits from Randy over the years without incident. That being said they all need some TLC in constructions. I have definitely NOT had the F-You after he got my money... but my experiences did not have a lot of issues to be fixed after purchase either... past the fairly normal fit issues present with a lot of hand made resin garage kits. Nothing that prevented building into a great model.

The BR kit I built I found challenging with aligning all of the engines perfectly... it took quite a bit of fiddling to get right.

I have bought a lot of kits from Randy and they are all resin garage kits which means you need to be a very confident modeler to tackle any type of resin kit. Randy puts out kits that others don't and I will never make that is why I buy them.
I have had more problems with plastic kits not fitting or only giving two right handed sides parts than a left and right. I always ask the the question are you a modeler or are you a assembler and painter?
The skill is in the modelling, anyone can assemble a kit.
The skill is in the detail and making these resin garage kits and no one should be prosecuted if the parts just don't slide together as you would like it to.
We should thank all garage builders for the time and effort they put in to produce these kit for the world to buy.

Buy these kits as soon as you can and always buy what you can afford as they are not out for a long time, and you don't want to get caught having to buy them years later once they are no longer available off EBay for 3 times the price....

Model hard and make cool stuff!!!

Let's be focused. If there were advertised parts that were not included, that shouldn't be put on the shoulders of "modeling." If the parts are substandard by garage kit standards, that's also a problem. And on that second note, it's time for the (not quite) OP to show pics of the quality issue.

Yes I agree if you are not supplied the parts listed the manufacturer should supply them,

While Randy does some amazing work, he certainly has a short fuse. I've read his rants on FB when something (a piece of technology, for example) doesn't work.
