RAIDERS: Ark of the Covenant BUILDERS GROUP

I'm interested as well.

In fact, I've always thought of creating a 1:1 Ark to keep my INDY collectibles in. :love

I know the groups should be open to anyone but I honestly think to avoid some problems, anyone that wants to sign up should pass some criteria.  They whould be a member of both the RPF and COW as an example, and have a certain number os posts.  That way, we know who the person is etc.

I'm not a member of COW...guess I'm out. :D

Frankly You may wish to voice your particular concerns. Unfortunately being a member here does littte to insure security or guarantee performance.

Chances are as with many projects, we must turn to sources outside our own forum.

I've sent mails to everyone interested asking for your e-mail addys so I can send you the group invite. So, if any of you for some reason did not get a mail, shoot me a pm here with your addy and we'll get this going.

Thanks, Jason

By the way, does anyone know where Got Maul is at? I thought he'd be one of the first in line.

Rick,
I hear you on that. You're always takign a chance with these sorts of things and I'm just hoping for the best. I was also thinking of what may have to be farmed out, but perhaps we can nail a sufficient ammount of talent and info in one fairly small group. Some of the stuff I've already heard sounds very promising. I think once all the available info is laid out for eveyone that we'll have enough to get the job done right. Of course, if you have interest, you are more than welcome. :thumbsup

I'm definitely interested. have acquired a number of pieces from sithlord who has been more than kind. i have one plated cherub...love to get another.

If I can help with CAD, would be glad to assist. :)

My wood worker, Leo, could also whip up the wooden cabinet and tapered hardwood poles, just not the cherub sculptures or engraving.

I can be reached at proprunner@aol.com

Now we're talking. The parts arent' the problem for now, the drawings are. It'd be great if you could help us out Gabe.
Agent5, myself, and I believe some others have measurements. We first have to compare everything and have measurements we all agree on.

Way cool. If I let you guys stress over the accuracy and dimensions, all I need are dimensioned hand-sketches or red-lined photos to use as references for the 3D model. I can even shade it in gold. :p 3D CAD makes visualization MUCH easier than 2D sketches, and the best part is you can tweak the numbers endlessly until a concensus is reached. Of course the 3D CAD model will serve as the basis for accurate blueprints, but that's only after everybody's agreed on the numbers. :)

Count me in.

When I mentioned that I planned to have an Ark at some point, my wife raised an eyebrow, it was my suggestion to use it to store all our extra blankets, sheets and pillows that swung her heh.

need you say more. Count me in Jason. Lots of Acme meetings from this point on. Kropserkel - this will be a good one...with you on board, no doubts in my mind this will be anything short of magical.

sorry for the delayed response, over here in Florida for business (though having a beer for y'all)

I hear you on that, Jose. Yes, there is some incredible talent interested in this project and like I said, so much of the info I've heard from others even at this early stage has gotten me very excited about this. :love

So far I've gotten e-mails or pms from 6 interested parties. The rest of you, shoot me a mail or pm with your addy.
