After reading for half an hour, I'm thoroughly impressed with your build man. Btw, awesome job using a saw on the skins for cutting. My buddies' R2 skins were made using a water jet and but it cost him a couple grand and a lot of headaches.

No new update. Frame should still be here by the start of july. then I can get going again. The Radar eye should be here in the middle of june if I get really lucky. But hopefully by the end of july the head will be done, the body will be mostly complete and the legs should be attached.

added some resin parts.. horseshoe, inner and outer moons, and a backup radar eye...

Great job so far on you build!! I spent a long time reading on the astromech forum about building R2. I need to finish other projects first before I tackle a droid.
