Questions About Bond Films that You Have been Afraid to Ask SPOILERS

I love FRWL..... but how does a group of top notch villains not notice a periscope popping up from a huge corridor beneath their secret meeting room?

He "links" with Fields. ;)

But Bond girls don't necessarily need to sleep with Bond. It's just the term for leading ladies in a Bond film.

I thought the leading actress/Bond girl would be ended up in Bond's arm.
I read that Camille is the first Bond girl that break the "rule".
Come to think about it, Bond looks more nurturing her rather than "using" her. And she looks more "a child" that need to do the "passage" of revenge, which Bond felt somewhat obligated to direct her in making her own decision.

On OHMSS, when I first hear the Christmas song, I was dissapointed, what a waste of song. But the second time, where Bond met Tracy in the ice skate, I think that is perfect. I can't find the satire in the song, do I miss something?

Elektra: "you wouldn't kill me, you'd miss me"
PB: "I never miss"
Now that is PB using his 00 at the coldest (TWINE).

:love, stop the press who is she......(search imdb)
Are you saying that Bond leave Camille alone because of Strawberry? He should do both :behave.

BTW, is that a hickey mark on her thigh?

She should play Moneypenny!!!!! This time, I would mind if she reappear in the next Bond movie.

In the novel the periscope is hidden in a mouse hole. I always assumed it was something to that affect in the film as well.

I only recently watched Skyfall on OnDemand, so I've been behind the curve on this one film.
To jump to the end of the film, yes - Broccoli/Wilson have cemented who plays M, Moneypenny and Q in the next installment. And I felt that, in a way, the end of Skyfall made all three of Craigs films the 'backstory' for the next film (the end with Bond and Moneypenny in the office and Fiennes waiting). If Broccoli/Wilson would FINALLY play the guitar theme and open with the barrel shot (as opposed to using it as a tag) it would help, for me. Since CR there has been an 'anti what we used to do' slate that I mostly agree with (as per Brosnan) but they threw some of the baby out with the bathwater. The end of CR, when we FINALLY hear the Bond theme was like a release. Oh, I thought, from now on, Bond is Back in Action (another Barry motif that's been shelved) but it was not to be. QoS was anything but CR.
And my solemn wish is that Craig (or whoever) not demand so much character development of Bond. Fleming didn't need it. Albert Broccoli and Harry Saltzman knew it was best left to the viewers imagination --- just get on with the plot. And one last request - don't try and match the Bourne series or pass the believability threshold (this subway train is for you ....).
Casino Royale felt like the series was getting back to basics ... but to me, the series is once again threatening to slide off the rails if it starts 'Die Harding' their SFX budgets.

I always figured it's inside a heating unit or something. It might even rattle or something.

It's a caricature of a seasonal "happy shiny people" song imho. Hell, t almost sounds like a kiddie song. Anyhoo, if you dont get the irony in it playing while Bunt & co. are trying to murder Bond, it's NBD.(1)

A bruise there? Oh James.......

I don't like SF's MP. Gemma can replace her at anytime, I don't mind.

I don't see it as irony, I see it like a miracle or a new hope.....different view I guess. I find the song catchy and snappy, which a X'mas song should be anyway.

Or maybe Terrence Howard can come in and pull a Cheaedle. Lol

I hope they don't pull a Stabuck and have Felicity Leiter.

:lol

Can you tell I'm not big on Iron Man? At least you spelled his name wrong too. ;)

Felix was only in a few of the books. It's a little too convenient to have him around all of the time anyway.

I was going to wait to see Skfall until tonight but the suspense was killing all of us here, so I picked it up tuesday night.:popcorn
OMG! :D I don't say this lightly, it was fargging brilliant! :cool The ending felt like CR, QOS and SF were the prequal to the Bond we met in Dr No. I didn't expect the wrap up in the "classic" MI6 office, Absolutely LOVED it! The acting and the editing were just top notch,:thumbsup I really can't think of anything "critical" I can mention, but I have only seen it once. :lol Hopefully I'll have a BR player soon (PS3:love?) so I'll probably wait to get QOS and SF on BR

Thought you might like it! :D

LOVE Skyfall. Stands up to repeat viewings here. I saw it four times in the theatres and I haven't done that in YEARS. :thumbsup

I can't wait to see another Bond film with DC, 1/2 way through I figured out Mallory was the bad guy :lol, caught some flack from the girls at the end ;)
Note to self: Don't "think" out loud during a movie (even at home) :lol
